.Astronomy 13
Madrid, Spain
.Astronomy 13 was held at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) near Madrid, Spain. ESAC is ESA's centre for space science missions and data archives, making it a fitting host for a conference about astronomy, technology, and data. This was the first .Astronomy at a European Space Agency facility. .Astronomy is not a traditional conference. It is a gathering of around 100 astronomy enthusiasts, passionate about how the web and technology can transform science.

I'm excited to go to Madrid next week for #dotastro 13!
I'm also making this vague post to test my dashboard at emilyhunt.github.io/dotastronomy-live-feed!
a very fun use of Bluesky in practice: this conference dashboard for the projectors at #dotastro that includes a live feed of the hashtag and an auto-updating schedule linked to Google Sheets!
On my way to the next #dotastro conference at ESAC in Madrid. Looking forward to seeing friends and meeting new participants!
On my way to Madrid today for #dotastro 13!
As if today wasn't already exciting enough, I'm now on the fast train from Barcelona to Madrid and thence to #dotastro tomorrow.
